I recently joined Leonardo Labs in Rome as AI Research fellow. In July 2023, I received my PhD in Computer Science (NLP and Deep Learning) at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, Germany. I was a member of the Center for Information and Language Processing (CIS) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hinrich Schütze and my research focused on Multilinguality and Transliteration. In 2022, I joined Amazon Turin and the Alexa NLU team as a Research Scientist Intern supervised by Dr. Elisa Reale and Dr. Bianca Scarlini. In 2021, I joined Amazon Berlin as an Applied Science Intern under the supervision of Dr. Omar Zaidan and Dr. Andreas Rücklé.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at the University of Bologna in 2017. In 2019, I completed my Master studies in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) at the University of Pisa with the thesis “Multi-Task Deep Learning in the Software Development Domain”, under the supervision of Prof. Davide Bacciu, Prof. Dr. Florian Matthes and M.Sc. Ahmed Elnaggar.
