I am an AI Technical Coordinator at Leonardo S.p.A. in Rome, serving as the technical lead for Natural Language Processing (NLP) topics. In this role, I oversee the planning and execution of AI projects, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and drive their technical growth. I am responsible for project scoping, resource and cost estimation, and ensuring timely delivery of results. Additionally, I act as the primary liaison between technical teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment between innovation goals and business objectives.
In July 2023, I received my PhD in Computer Science (NLP and Deep Learning) at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, Germany. I was a member of the Center for Information and Language Processing (CIS) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hinrich Schütze and my research focused on Multilinguality and Transliteration.
In 2022, I joined Amazon Turin and the Alexa NLU team as a Research Scientist Intern supervised by Dr. Elisa Reale and Dr. Bianca Scarlini. In 2021, I joined Amazon Berlin as an Applied Science Intern under the supervision of Dr. Omar Zaidan and Dr. Andreas Rücklé.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at the University of Bologna in 2017. In 2019, I completed my Master studies in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) at the University of Pisa with the thesis “Multi-Task Deep Learning in the Software Development Domain”, under the supervision of Prof. Davide Bacciu, Prof. Dr. Florian Matthes and M.Sc. Ahmed Elnaggar.
